An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Stock One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) "Lash" La Rue & Al 'Fuzzy' St. John, the circa 1950s stock poster used by theaters to advertise re-released cowboy western movies starring Lash La Rue and Al 'Fuzzy' St. John. Theaters would order this poster, which has a large blank area at the bottom or middle of the poster where the studio would overprint the title of a specific movie, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster for use by theaters showing re-releases of 1940s Lash La Rue movies in the 1950s. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank oval in the bottom center. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. Condition: fine.
