An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Wild Orchids, the 1929 Sidney Franklin tropical island Java romantic love triangle melodrama (about a couple who visit Java and they meet the prince who befriends the husband to try to seduce the wife, and the husband learns the truth while on a hunting trip with the prince to kill a tiger) starring Greta Garbo, Lewis Stone, Nils Asther, and Dick Sutherland NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that someone wrote "The Painted Veil" on the back of the still, but they were guessing, and they were definitely wrong! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has "TRR" running down the center. One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us!
