An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Battling Jane, the 1918 Elmer Clifton silent adoption crime comedy melodrama (from the story by Arnold Bennett; about a waitress who adopts a doctor's baby, she enters the baby into a contest and the doctor attempts to steal the money, but she beats the doctor at his own game and donates the money to the Red Cross!) starring Dorothy Gish (in the title role as Jane), George Nichols, May Hall, Katherine MacDonald, Ernest Marion, and Bertram Grassby. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good.
