Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 26 1/2" x 39 1/2") (Learn More)

Don Quixote, the 1933 G.W. Pabst (Georg Wilhelm Pabst) French/English Spain fantasy adventure melodrama (based on the famous novel, "El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha", by Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra) starring Feodor Chaliapin Sr. (in the title role as Don Quixote), George Robey (as Sancho Panza), Rene Donnio, Emily Fitzroy, Sidney Fox, and Renee Valliers (as Dulcinea). This was the English version of this movie, made by Vandor Film (there was also a French version and an English version). Universal did the same thing with "Dracula" in 1931. They filmed the movie twice, once in English, and once in Spanish, with two entirely different casts, U.S. actors for the English version and mostly Latin actors for the Spanish version, obviously for release in Spanish speaking countries, and the same was done with this movie, except it was released in German, English, and French (the German language version, "Don Quichotte", starred Feodor Chaliapin Sr. and Dorville, and the French version also starred Feodor Chaliapin Sr. and Dorville).
