Flower of Night, the 1925 Paul Bern silent San Francisco California Gold Rush romantic love triangle melodrama ("Hold to the light and see who's coming"; "by Joseph Hergesheimer"; a complicated story where Pola Negri's father is a Spaniard with a great gold mine, but it is stolen from him, plus his daughter is "violated", and he commits suicide, and she gets involved with the mine's superintendent, and she enlists the help of an evil man to get her mine back, but everything works out in the end) starring Pola Negri, Joseph J. Dowling, Youcca Troubetzkov, Warner Oland, and Ed Brady. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Note that this movie was directed by Paul Bern, who, in one of Hollywood's most bizarre episodes ever (which is saying a lot!), married the much young Jean Harlow in 1932 and then shot himself after their honeymoon, apologizing for "a frightful wrong" in a suicide note! It has been rumored that he was actually murdered, and the suicide was a coverup by MGM "fixers". Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Condition: good to very good. The card pictured at top has slightly darkened at center and it has a scuff and smudge at left. The other card has some pencil writing on back and on the front at upper right and an ink pad stamp at right in the blank border. They are otherwise in pretty nice condition.
