Date Sold 11/21/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Movie Window Card (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Crashing Through to Berlin, the 1918 Carl Laemmle silent World War I (WWI) historical documentary ("The most sensational, most authentic and most thrilling war spectacle of the hour"; with animation by Winsor McCay). Note that this movie was made after the U.S. entered World War I in 1917, but before the end of the war in November 1918, so it was definitely designed as "propaganda" so that U.S. citizens would support the war and learn what caused the war. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this window card, and that example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this card we have ever auctioned! Condition: very good to fine. The card has some minor wear around the edges and some creases scattered across the words "CRASHING THROUGH" in the title, but otherwise, it has survived in really nice condition!
