An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Rudyard Kipling's Soldiers Three, the 1951 Tay Garnett British-in-India military comedy ("Adventure, escapades, high-jinx, romance!"; "They're rough, tough and riotous!"; "Suggested by the Rudyard Kipling Stories") starring Stewart Granger ("His first picture since 'King Solomon's Mines'"), Walter Pidgeon, David Niven, Robert Newton, Cyril Cusack, Greta Gynt, and Frank Allenby. Note that this movie is based on Rudyard Kipling's "Gunga Din", and yet it has a completely different title, and "Gunga Din" is not mentioned in the advertising. Perhaps RKO Radio owned the rights to the title (they had made the classic 1939 version), and MGM could not use the title, although the story itself was likely in the public domain. I have not seen this movie, but apparently "Soldiers Three" was no "Gunga Din"!
