Berlin, the 1981 German poster ("Museum concert theatre gallery action") promoting the sights and sounds of the city. Berlin is the capital and the largest city of Germany, and was first documented in the 13th century. After World War II, the city was split into East Berlin (capital of East Germany) and West Berlin (capital of West Germany), and the Berlin Wall was constructed to physically divide the city. Following German reunification in 1990, Berlin once again became the capital of all of Germany.
