An Autographed Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Mel Blanc was the legendary voice of Warner Bros Looney Tunes cartoons from the 1930s to the 1980s. He's best remembered as the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Porky Pig, Tweety, Yosemite Sam, Pepe le Pew, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorne, Marvin the Martian, Speedy Gonzales, Road Runner, Henry Hawk, Taz, Heathcliff, Elmer Fudd, Pvt. Snafu, Woody Woodpecker, Barney Rubble, and Dino. In many low budget cartoons, he provided ALL the voices of all the characters! He also had memorable appearances on The Jack Benny Show (using many of his varied voices). Blanc passed away in 1989 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Mel Blanc (he added "Eh - What's up David? Bugs Bunny & Gang")! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. This was a publicity still that Mel Blanc had printed in 1978, but he was still using it in 1981 when he signed this (and he dated it in the lower right). Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
