After making his debut in Journey Into Mystery #83, he was later given his own comic ("The Mighty Thor"). The Thor character has appeared in various television shows and films, and he is an integral part of The Avengers. Thor lives in Asgard, which is home to the Asgardians and other beings adapted from Norse mythology. The character is portrayed by Chris Hemsworth (and later Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
