eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6s660 NUT LC '21 close up of Douglas Fairbanks Sr. & pretty Marguerite De La Motte in window! Date Sold 2/7/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Nut, the 1921 Theodore Reed silent romantic inventor social injustice comedy (written and produced by Douglas Fairbanks; about a very eccentric man who is an excellent inventor, but he loves a woman whose only interest is in helping slum children, and the inventor tries to interest his wealthy friends into helping make his girlfriend's dream a reality) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Marguerite De La Motte, William Lowery, Gerald Pring, Morris Hughes, and Barbara La Marr. Note that most film buffs nowadays only know of Douglas Fairbanks Sr. as a swashbuckling hero from the 1920s, but in the 1910s, he appeared in a number of romantic comedies, and this was the last of those before he turned to the epic movies. There is an early sequence in the movie where inventor Fairbanks is shown getting ready in the morning with help from many odd inventions, and it was very "Keaton-esque"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There are a few small circular stains down the center of the card, but they are mostly only noticeable when the card is tilted to the light. There are a few tiny dot water stains in the top and right blank borders. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
