An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Night of the Living Dead, the classic 1968 George A. Romero & John A. Russo end-of-the-world science fiction (sci-fi) walking-dead undead zombie horror thriller ("They won't stay dead!"; "They keep coming back in a bloodthirsty lust for human flesh!... Pits the dead against the living in a struggle for survival!") starring Judith O'Dea, Duane Jones, Marilyn Eastman, Karl Hardman, Judith Ridley, Kyra Schon, Charles Craig, Keith Wayne, Randy Burr, S. William Hinzman (billed as "Bill Heinzman"; as the graveyard zombie), George A. Romero (the director, as one of the Washington reporters!), Russell Streiner, Ella Mae Smith, Dick Heckard, John Kirch, Paula Richards, George Kosana, John Russo, Richard Ricci, and Terry Gindele NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that there are two very slightly different versions of this poster which exist which both appear to be from the first 1968 release of this movie. They are identical in every way except that one has the title in lighter green letters and the other has the title in darker green letters. Both versions have the identical NSS stamp on the back, with the exact same information. If anyone has reason to believe that one of these posters predates the other, please e-mail us and we will post it here. We have always thought it likely that both posters were printed at the same time, but at different printing locations (we have seen this true of other titles of the late 1960s and early 1970s, especially ones that were from extremely popular movies). Condition: good to very good. There is a thin line of extremely dark staining on the back of most of the top quarter of the vertical fold and on the back of the left half of the top fold. That second area widens as it approaches the left edge and is approximately 1/2" wide at the left edge of the back of the poster. A tiny bit of that staining is on the front of the left border, at the left end of the bottom horizontal fold. But, very fortunately, this dark staining does not show through to the front, except slightly in the blank border to the left of the top fold (and the tiny bit described above at the left end of the bottom fold). It appears that someone was spray painting something, and managed to get a little bit of it on the back of this poster when it was fully folded (some other poster or object was on top of it, and that got the bulk of the paint). But other than this very odd defect, there is only separation at each crossfold, with tiny separation at the bottom two crossfolds and slightly larger at the top crossfold. The title of the movie was written on the back of the top quarter of the vertical fold, and it extremely slightly shows through to the front in the center letters of the title. Otherwise, the poster is in really nice condition, and after a relatively simple linenbacking, it will display really well, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding.
