An Original 1956 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Folded Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 23 1/2" x 34" [60 x 86 cm]) (Learn More) La Strada (released in the U.S. in 1956 as "La Strada [The Road]"), the 1954 Federico Fellini Italian romantic love triangle circus melodrama ("Filmed in Italy - Where it happened! In English!"; Academy Award Winner 'Best Foreign Picture'; about a brutish strongman in a traveling circus, who virtually buys a young woman to work as his assistant, and they have a complicated relationship, which is even more complicated by a handsome trapeze performer they run into) starring Anthony Quinn (billed as "Academy Award Winner Anthony Quinn"), Giulietta Masina, Richard Basehart, Aldo Silvani, Marcella Rovere, Livia Venturini, and Gustavo Giorgi. Note that Fellini had been a screenwriter since 1942 and a director since 1950, with great success, but it was THIS movie which gave him worldwide acclaim and started him on his road to being one of the world's greatest directors. This movie is considered his first masterpiece, and along with La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2, it is one of the movies that he is best remembered for! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster was tri-folded only and has minor fold and border wear. There are a few creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges and several of those are backed with conservation tape.
