A 1948 Re-release (re-titled "Matinee Scandal" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) One Rainy Afternoon, the 1936 Rowland V. Lee infidelity romantic love triangle mistaken identity comedy (a silly movie about a man who leans over to kiss his date in a darkened movie theater, and he kisses a different girl by mistake, which causes a major scandal, even though it was completely innocent) starring Ida Lupino, Francis Lederer, Roland Young, Hugh Herbert, Erik Rhodes, Joseph Cawthorn, Liev De Maigret, and Eily Malyon. Note that this was one of those light romantic comedies that was popular in the mid 1930s. In 1948, some clever promoter decided to reissue it, and since film noir romantic love triangle melodrama movies were all the rage, he re-titled the movie "Matinee Scandal", and added taglines like "She was the kind of woman who had to be loved!", completely changing the type of movie it was! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded once horizontally and once vertically right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Condition: very good. see below for why we don't describe the defects of this item in words Learn More about condition grades
