They've been filmed every seven years since. Now they are 56") featuring Michael Apted, Bruce Balden, Jacqueline Bassett, Symon Basterfield, and Andrew Brackfield. Beginning in 1963, Michael Apted created a documentary for BBC television examining the lives of a group of 14 seven year-olds, from different socio-economic backgrounds. Each succeeding seven years, Apted re-examined the same people (over the years, a couple have dropped out).
