An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures approximately 9" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; contains 7 supplements, and 17 stills) (Learn More) Die Unendliche Geschichte (released in the U.S. as "The Neverending Story"), the classic 1984 Wolfgang Petersen German/U.S. epic juvenile fantasy adventure ("A Boy Who Needs a Friend Finds a World That Needs a Hero."; "In a Land Beyond Imagination."; "Begin a journey into a limitless universe of entertainment. Experience the enchanted world of a young boy's imagination and behold the remarkable adventure that unfolds before your eyes."; based on the novel by Michael Ende) starring Noah Hathaway (as Atreyu), Barret Oliver (as Bastian), Tami Stronach (as the Childlike Empress), Patricia Hayes, Sydney Bromley, Gerald McRaney (as Bastian's father), and Moses Gunn (as Cairon). Note that this is surely one of the best children's movies of all time, and if you have never seen it (or have a child who has not), you should watch it together! However, please note that this movie is not the entire story of the book! It actually only covers the first half of the book (the second half picks up near where the movie ends, and Bastian saves the planet, but then becomes somewhat evil and battles with Atreyu, so it is not at all the feel-good story that the movie is). The author was so unhappy that he sued the producers, but lost. A sequel was made, but it didn't show the second half of the book, and instead had a completely different story line. So if you REALLY want to know what happens, read the book! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the stills vary in measurement between 6 1/4" x 9 3/4" and 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" but they do not appear to have been trimmed. Also note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and eight of the stills (less than eight if the presskit has less than eight stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN EIGHT OF THEM (and we pretty much picked eight stills at random). Condition: very good to fine. Many of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are in really excellent condition.
