An Original Vintage Movie Script (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm], 110 pages) (Learn More) Alfie (released in other English-speaking countries as "Irresistible Alfie"), the 2004 Charles Shyer English/U.S. romantic comedy ("what's it all about?"; "Based on the play 'Alfie' by Bill Naughton"; "Based on the film 'Alfie'") starring Jude Law (in the title role as Alfie), Renee Taylor, Jane Krakowski, Jeff Harding, and Marisa Tomei. Note that this movie is based on the 1966 English movie starring Michael Caine. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised draft from July 29, 2003 and the screenplay was written by Charles Shyer and Elaine Pope (and it comes to us from the personal collection of director/screenwriter Charles Shyer; see below). Also note that there are a multitude of different colored revision pages from many different dates from between 7/29/03 and 11/3/03. The script was titled "UNTITLED CHARLES SHYER PROJECT" when this script was created. It is autographed "Best, Charles Shyer" on the title page, and there are comments on the first interior page (before the title page) giving criticisms of the screenplay, and it is not clear who wrote them (see our image). Note that this script was consigned to us directly from director/screenwriter Charles Shyer. Mr. Shyer is the director of many extremely popular movies from the 1970s to the present, many of which are romantic comedies, including House Calls, Private Benjamin, Baby Boom, remakes of Father of the Bride and The Parent Trap, and many others. Over the years, he collected scripts, which he received primarily in two different ways. He was friends with screenwriters, directors, and producers during those years, and they would sometimes send him scripts of their movies to get his opinion of them, and many of those are offered here. In addition, as a member of the screenwriter's branch of the Academy, he was sent many scripts where the producers hoped that their script would be nominated for a Best Screenwriting Academy Award, and many of these have "for your consideration" printed on the cover. This is a rare opportunity to purchase original scripts that come directly from the personal collection of a prominent director/screenwriter! Condition: very good. Note that we have photographed the cover of the script, the title page, the final page of the script (the one that reads "THE END"), and one or more interior pages.
