Remembrance and Beyond, the 2009 UN poster promoting January 27th as the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, and featuring an image of barbwire transforming into flowers. The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization that was founded in 1945. It's objectives include: preventing another World War, maintaining international peace and security, promoting human rights, fostering social and economic development, protecting the environment, and providing humanitarian aid in cases of famine, natural disaster, and armed conflict. It is headquartered in New York City, and now has 193 member nations.
