The Goofy Gophers are animated cartoon characters created by Robert Clampett that first appeared in Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons in 1947. The gophers, named Mac and Tosh, have appeared in several shorts and are characterized by their abnormally high levels of politeness.
