Important Added Info: Note that this classic sci-fi movie had its limited first release in 1968 in Cinerama, and it played in a limited number of theaters. We don't think there was a pressbook made for the limited Cinerama release, because we have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning. The non-Cinerama pressbook has a 1969 copyright in it, and we feel pretty certain that is the first pressbook that was made for this movie, and that is what we are auctioning here. If anyone WERE to find a "Cinerama" pressbook that was dated 1968, it would surely sell for a great deal of money! Note that this pressbook is part of an amazing collection of 456 different horror/sci-fi pressbooks (our items #5387 through #5842)! The collector who assembled this collection did so over a span of several decades, and to duplicate it would surely take at least that long, if one started today. But on October 30th, every one of these pressbooks will go to a new owner, as all are being sold with NO reserve. Note that this collection spans the years from 1950 to 1972, and just about every single 1950s and 1960s horror/sci-fi movie is represented here. Also note that we have listed them in DATE order (first by year, and then alphabetically within years). This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire rare pressbooks that almost never are offered for sale! Condition: fine. Note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Since pressbooks were INTENDED to be cut up (the theater owners would cut out the newspaper ads to run in their local papers).
