An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Truth About Murder, the 1946 Lew Landers courtroom legal lawyer crime film noir ("Play girl beauty killed!"; "Lie-Detector vs. Cunning Killer!"; "Killer trapped by lie-detector!"; about a man whose wife, who is a photographer, is found dead, and the husband is accused of her murder; the District Attorney prosecutes the husband, but the District Attorney's own wife, also a lawyer, decides to defend the man, which naturally puts a great strain on their marriage!) starring Bonita Granville, Morgan Conway, Rita Corday, Don Douglas, June Clayworth, Edward Norris, and Ralph Dunn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold with creases, tears, and areas of paper loss scattered down the entire vertical foldline with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. There were pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss in parts of the borders. Overall, the poster was in fair to condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Note that at some point after linenbacking, the poster was roughly handled and there are now minor creases in the left and right borders (solely in the excess linen, and not in the poster itself).
