An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 31 1/4" [62 x 79 cm]) (Learn More) Die vom Rummelplatz (released in the U.S. as "Fair People" and "Those of the Sideshow"), the 1930 Carl Lamac German fantasy comedy starring Anny Ondra (she was married to director Carl Lamac, and was a major star in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s; she continued working with her husband after they were divorced, and in 1933, she married boxer Max Schmeling, and they appeared in "Knockout" together, and remained married for over 50 years, until her passing in 1987), Sig Arno (billed as Siegfried Arno), Margarete Kupfer, Viktor Schwannecke, and Toni Girardi. Note that this movie included a sequence where Anny Ondra wore a Mickey Mouse costume (in 1930!), and the movie was known as "Das Micky-Maus-Girl" in Austria, and on the Swedish poster, there is even an image of Mickey Mouse himself (back in 1930, Walt Disney probably considered it a compliment to have his creation used in regular movies, but nowadays the Disney studio would sue!). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Roland Coudon Important Added Info: Note that we can't be certain this poster is from this movie. The two actors credited appear together in several movies, but an online German archive identifies this poster as being from this movie, so we believe they know what they are talking about. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). Also note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There are some very light brown stains scattered around the edges of the poster from exposure to moisture and there are some minor creases and a few 3/4" and smaller tears around the edges. Other than the defects around the edges, which are pretty minor, the poster is in very nice condition and it displays well and if one had it linenbacked it would look fantastic!
