An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 8" x 10" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More) The Black Pirate, the 1926 Albert Parker silent seafaring swashbuckling sailor family relationship murder revenge adventure melodrama (about a young man whose father is killed by pirates, and he seeks revenge by joining the pirates so he can get close to his father's murderers) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title role as The Black Pirate), Billie Dove, Tempe Pigott, Mary Pickford, Anders Randolf, Donald Crisp, and Sam De Grasse. Note that this was one of the first major productions in two-strip Technicolor! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still shows the Vice President visiting Fairbanks on the set (he was called "Helen Maria" on the snipe, because, in an important war meeting in the Senate, he shouted out "Hell and Maria, we...", and afterwards, he tried to say that he had really said "Helen Maria", which became his nickname!). Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: very good to fine. The snipe is separating and has some tiny paper loss, but the still is in nice condition!
