An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded Teaser Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures approximately 9' x 20') (Learn More) Hombre, the 1967 Martin Ritt white-man-raised-by-Native-American-Indians cowboy western ("HOMBRE means man! Don't do him any favors. Don't tell him any sad stories. He's taking a rise alone. The men who try and stop him and the women who try to stay with him-they'll find out-he's all Hombre... And he hurts hard!"; "HOMBRE means man... and Paul Newman is HOMBRE... Giving one "H" of a performance after 'Hud' and 'Harper'"; "She'd been loved and let down, and then she met HOMBRE"; "He came looking for trouble and he found it - in HOMBRE"; "He wanted to be a friend to a man who had none - HOMBRE"; "Hombre means man... Paul Newman is Hombre!"; "He was 'Hud', 'Harper' and the 'Hustler'... Now Paul Newman is 'Hombre'"; "From the novel by Elmore Leonard") starring Paul Newman (in the title role as Hombre), Fredric March, Richard Boone, Diane Cilento, Cameron Mitchell, Barbara Rush, Martin Balsam, and Margaret Blye NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a teaser twenty-four sheet (note the complete lack of credits on the poster). It is one of three extremely rare 24-sheets which we are currently auctioning (in three separate auctions). Also note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap. Finally, note this 24-sheet poster was folded in a way that makes it resemble a tri-folded six-sheet (only much larger, of course, as there are more sections). But the length and width of the folded 24-sheet is just about the same as that of a folded six-sheet or three-sheet. This means that this 24-sheet needs to be sent in an oversized flat package, which will measure roughly 16" x 38", and approximately 2" high, and it will cost more to send than a regular sized package. Condition: very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, and some tears on the horizontal fold that was in that area. There are just a few tiny tears along the other foldlines and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds, and some tiny tears in parts of the borders. Other than these relatively minor defects, the poster has likely survived in about as good condition as one could hope, and it is quite likely that no other example of this poster survives at all.
