An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 40" [71 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Siv, A Swedish Girl, the 1971 Nick Millard (billed as "Svend Henreid") sexploitation movie ("The stunning, remarkably frank portrayal of a Swedish girl in America"; "She led them into a vortex of lust") starring Louise Thompson, Isolde Almrik, Margaret Johns, and Donald Edwards If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very unusual sexploitation poster that we have never auctioned before! The movie was directed by one Nick Millard (sometimes under a pseudonym like "Svend Henreid" - see above). The distributor of this type of movie had his own supply of one-sheets, no doubt so that he could give them to theaters that booked these type of sexploitation movies (these movies were not distributed through the NSS or poster exchanges). It is printed in black and white, and on a somewhat "newer" paper that at first glance looks like it could be from later than the 1960s or 1970s, but we are certain it is from 1971 and that whoever printed these posters used whatever paper they could get, which was different from many one-sheets of this time. Note also that this one-sheet measures 28" x 40" [71 x 102 cm]. Finally note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Note that in recent months we auctioned a collection of sexploitation one-sheets that included many rare titles from a single collector, and we recently auctioned the last of that collection. NOW, we have been consigned a different collection which includes even more very rarely seen titles! In recent sets of auctions we auctioned groups of one-sheets from this new collection, and this month there are 144 different ones (all are in separate auctions), and they include a number of posters that we have only auctioned once or twice before. There are also a number with great images or taglines. This is an excellent opportunity to add one or more of these rare one-sheets to your collection, and, like the previous collection we auctioned, this consignor also only had one of each title, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again! Condition: very good. The left edge of the poster was folded back at one time (no doubt to fit a standard 27x40 frame) but other than some minor fold and border wear it is otherwise in pretty nice condition!
