An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28 1/4" x 42 1/4" [72 x 107 cm]) (Learn More) The Tender Years, the 1948 Harold D. Schuster family canine anti-dog-fighting family relationship religious legal melodrama ("Warm... like a smile!"; "Tender... like a tear!"; "There's a place in your heart that's never been touched before --"; "Adapted by Abem Finkel from a story by Jack Jungmeyer Jr."; about a minister who is staunchly opposed to dog fighting and he discovers that his son has befriended a fighting dog, and he "steals" the dog so that he will be arrested and the entire dog fighting business will be put on trial; in many ways, this was many years ahead of its time, and a departure for Joe E. Brown, the famous comic actor, for this was a purely dramatic role on a very serious subject) starring Joe E. Brown, Richard Lyon, Noreen Nash, Charles Drake, Josephine Hutchinson, James Millican, Griff Barnett, Jeanne Gail, Harry V. Cheshire, Blayney Lewis, and Jimmie Dodd NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet was created by "Woolever Press" of Los Angeles, California. Woolever Press created one-sheets and window cards for movies that were distributed to theaters who (for one reason or another) had difficulty obtaining studio issue paper. Woolever Press posters were created during a movie's first release. This is similar to the posters created by "the other company", as an alternate to studio issue posters. Also note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/4" x 42 1/4" [72 x 107 cm]. Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 27" x 41". Finally, note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There is a light brown stain in the credit at upper left and there is some ink transfer throughout the poster from it being folded too quickly after printing.
