Selznick) starring W.C. Fields ("as Micawber"), Lionel Barrymore ("as Dan Peggotty"), Madge Evans ("as Agnes"), Maureen O'Sullivan ("as Dora"), Edna May Oliver ("as Aunt Betsey"), Lewis Stone ("as Mr. Wickfield"), Frank Lawton (in the title role "as David, The Man"), Freddie Bartholomew (in the title role "as David, The Child"), Elizabeth Allan ("as Mrs. Copperfield"), Roland Young ("as Uriah Heep"), Jessie Ralph (as Nurse Peggotty), Frank Lawton (as David, The Man), Jean Cadell, Lennox Pawle, Basil Rathbone, and a "Star Cast of 65 Players". Note that MGM took a great chance in casting W.C. Fields in the role of Micawber. No doubt everyone expected Fields to greatly ham up the role, and turn this serious subject into slapstick, but instead, he gave a wonderful performance, and added greatly to the movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very unusual poster called a "mini billboard". In the mid 1930s, MGM added this odd size. It has the exact same image as the 24-sheet, but it is printed incredibly smaller (5 3/4" x 12 1/2"), and on a heavy paper stock (like what was used for window cards at that time)! Likely it was designed for theaters to put in the front of their box office, so patrons would know what movie was playing that day. They are incredibly rare! Condition: good. There are some pinholes and stains around the edges. There is a tear in the center of the bottom and top, and someone put tape on the back of the bottom one. The poster was partially folded across the middle, and there was separation at the left and right ends of that fold, and someone put tape on the back. They also performed very slight amateur touch up to the blue background area. Learn More about condition grades
