Artist: Tom William Chantrell Important Added Info: Note that this poster was discovered in 2000, when an employee of the printer that printed these posters consigned a number of Star Wars printer's test posters (and a few others) to eMoviePoster.com (see below for what printer's test posters are). He had taken these printer's test posters home with him in 1977, and had stored them for 23 years until he consigned them. Included in the posters he had were multiple examples of Star Wars style A and style C printer's tests, and also five of these Spanish language style C printer's tests. eMoviePoster.com sold these posters at fixed prices in 2001, and they quickly all sold out. In 2007, we were re-consigned one of the five posters, and in 2009, we were re-consigned another one. Now, in 2017, we have been re-consigned a third one! Also note that this is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]. Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (printed in the U.S. for use in Spanish-speaking countries). Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has slight darkening and a few extremely tiny tears in the right edge of the right blank border. It has two blue ink marks in the bottom right corner, next to the border, that are surely a minor printing defect. There are small creases in the sky background at top center and a few very faint creases in the rest of the poster (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
