An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Private Jones, the 1933 Russell Mack World War I (WWI) military romantic comedy ("Story by Richard Schayer"; an unusual war movie, to say the least, because it concerns an American draftee who doesn't want to fight against the Germans, because he has nothing against them, and instead he gets assigned to kitchen work and romancing the commander's wife!; certainly, a movie like this could never have been made just a couple of years later!) starring Lee Tracy (in the title role as Private Jones), Donald Cook, Gloria Stuart, Shirley Grey, Emma Dunn, Frank McHugh, Walter Catlett, and Russell Gleason NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
