An Original Vintage Folded Russian Magic Show Poster (measures 22" x 29 3/4" [56 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Castello (Ivan Fedorovic Kastorsky) was a Russian magician from the 1930s to the 1960s. He began to give lectures in psychology in the 1930s, but these soon transformed in telepathy/magic events (which apparently were so effective that some religious groups condemned him). Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this magic poster! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this poster is one of a collection of 36 similar posters that we were consigned (and are currently auctioning in 36 separate auctions). They include Russian, Uzbek, Ukranian, and Latvian posters, and some of them are movie posters, and others are circus posters, with a few other kinds of posters. All of these posters are incredibly rare, and on the vast majority of them, we have never auctioned them before, and it may be many years before we auction any of them again. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one or more of these posters, all of which have very striking images! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a circular tear and tiny surface paper loss around that tear in the top center blue background. It has some tears around the edges, some of which have tape on the back, and 4" of separation at the left end of the horizontal fold, that was repaired with tape from the back. It has paper loss in the blue background to the left of the "C" at top left, and someone put a piece of tape on the back of that area. Learn More about condition grades
