Let's Live a Little, the 1948 Richard Wallace romantic love triangle comedy ("The love affair of a laugh-time!"; "Original story by Albert J. Cohen and Jack Harvey"; about an ad executive who has romantic complications in his life, including his clients, one of whom is a female psychiatrist) starring Hedy Lamarr ("Hedy's made for love!"), Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings; "Bob's made for Laughs!"), Anna Sten, Robert Shayne, Mary Treen, Harry Antrim, Norma Varden, and Curt Bois. Note that this is an odd movie, in that it was made by Eagle-Lion Films. Eagle-Lion was a British company that distributed English movies in the U.S. In 1947, they bought PRC, with hopes of elevating the combined studio into a major Hollywood studio, and they hired top name stars (at high salaries) to do so. But they lost a lot of money in 1947, and in 1948, they switched to making smaller movies, and these were far more successful, including T-Men, Raw Deal, and The Noose Hangs High. But they still had their debt from 1947, and they had to declare bankruptcy. They then merged with Film Classics in 1950 to become Eagle-Lion Classics. But then, in 1951, the studio head, Arthur Krim, was offered the top position at United Artists, which he took, and that was the end of Eagle-Lion! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
