Artist: Tim Reamer Important Added Info: Note that this poster LOOKS like the "regular" one-sheet for this movie, but it has some really important differences, and is most unusual! When the studio was creating the 30x40 for this movie, they took the one-sheet image and then put different information at the bottom, which is typical, because it is 1 inch "shorter" than a 41 inch one-sheet, so they had less room at the bottom to work with. But this poster is 27 1/2" x 41", and yet it is printed on the heavy stock used for 30x40s! It has the information at the bottom that is on the 30x40 and NOT the information from the bottom of the regular one-sheet, but it has more information than is found on the 30x40, which makes sense, because it has more space at the bottom, because it measures 41 inches. It was in the collection of a former NSS employee. The only logical explanation is that he was able to acquire an untrimmed 30x40 that was 41 inches high, and it was then only trimmed on the left and right, but was not trimmed at the bottom, as ALL of the other 30x40s were, and therefore, it is likely the ONLY poster of its type there is, combining elements of the one-sheet and the 30x40! It comes to us as one of the final three posters from the amazing Kevin Doyle Collection (we previously auctioned most of his incredible Star Wars posters in a special "Star Wars only" auction). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and in excellent condition, with a few faint scuffs in the solid black areas. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well. As noted above, this poster came from the amazing Kevin Doyle Star Wars movie poster collection, and he had all of his Star Wars posters linenbacked, for preservation, not because they needed restoration.
