An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Fury of the Congo, the 1951 William A. Berke Africa jungle safari fantasy narcotics drugs action adventure thriller ("Here come the Amazons... Beautiful! Barbaric! Wild!"; "Amazing Amazon adventures!"; "Amazon beauties stampede jungle raiders"; "Amazing action as Amazon beauties lead Johnny to his strangest battles!"; "Based upon the famous 'Jungle Jim' King Features Syndicate newspaper feature" cartoon comic strip; in this one, Jim is trying to help a native tribe who have been enslaved by a narcotics gang who are killing their sacred zebra-like animal called the Okongo, because it yields a powerful drug!) starring Johnny Weissmuller ("as Jungle Jim"), Sherry Moreland, William Henry, Lyle Talbot, and Joel Friedkin. Note that one tagline of this movie refers to the "Amazon", and another refers to the "Congo", and yet one is in Africa and one is in South America! Since we believe that all of the Jungle Jim movies were set in Africa, we think it is likely that an unknown tagline writer was trying to alliteration in writing "amazing Amazon adventures", and that he was unaware that the Amazon is NOT in Africa!
