Chinatown, the classic 1974 Roman Polanski (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic police corruption crime film noir ("Written by Robert Towne"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Jack Nicholson (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Faye Dunaway (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), John Hillerman, Perry Lopez, Burt Young, John Huston (the famed director in an acting role), Roman Polanski, and Bruce Glover

Important Added Info: Note that this poster says that it is distributed by Paramount from Cinema International Corporation (CIC). We have also seen another example of this poster that says it is distributed by Paramount from Apollo Films. It seems likely that one of these is from the first release and one is a re-release, but it is certainly possible that they are both re-releases, and even possible that they are both first release. To further complicate things, there are also German posters from CIC that measure the normal German size, but only say "Roman Polanski's Chinatown" on them, with no further writing except for "FOTO-GRAFIK LUTZ ROHRBACH" (and they are a set of 8 of these posters, kind of like Italian photobustas, but they measure exactly the normal German size). If anyone can sort all this out for us, please let us know as soon as possible, and we will add to these auctions, and also correct the information in our database, so we can correctly auction these German posters in the future! This German poster measures approximately 23" x 33" and is folded.
