An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) James Earl Jones was a black African American actor from the 1960s to the 2020s. He was the son of prizefighter and actor Robert Earl Jones. Some of his movies include: The Great White Hope (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Field of Dreams, Sneakers, and The Lion King (as the voice of Mufasa). He is also the iconic voice of Darth Vader from the Star Wars franchise (which was wonderfully parodied during his guest appearance on TV's "The Big Bang Theory"!). He passed away in 2024 at the age of 93. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by James Earl Jones! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Our consignor is a longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic.
