An Autographed 3" x 5" [8 x 13 cm] Index Card (Learn More) John Houseman was a Romanian-born British-American producer and actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. He often collaborated with Orson Welles (he was an uncredited assistant on Citizen Kane, and he was in Welles Mercury Theatre), and was the founding director of the Drama Division at The Juilliard School. In his later life, he turned to acting, and while he is surely best remembered for his role as Professor Kingsford in The Paper Chase (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), he was also in other movies including: Rollerball, The Naked Gun, and Scrooged (as himself). He passed away in 1988 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: This index card has been personally autographed (signed) by John Houseman! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who has been a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1970s on. He purchased the signed photos that were in the inventory of a long running memorabilia store, and he has consigned a number of them to us, and we are auctioning them here, including this item. Both we and our consignor feel it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
