The Gun Runners (released in Australia as "Guns for the Rebels"), the 1958 Don Siegel tropical island crime adventure thriller ("Hemingway-Hot Adventure!"; "He rammed a steel fist into the hell ports of Cuba!"; "That Hemingway kind of excitement, raging from the secret coves of Florida to the intrigue-ridden heart of Havana!"; "It cracks the Caribbean wide open!"; "It explodes with the Hemingway kind of power!"; "A guy who had nothing to peddle but guts running a hot cargo by day and loving a warm woman by night ...turning the Caribbean into no-man's water!"; "Based on a story by Ernest Hemingway") starring Audie Murphy, Eddie Albert, Patricia Owens, Everett Sloane, and Gita Hall (billed as "introducing Gita Hall", in her first of only two movies). Note that this is a remake of 1944's "To Have and Have Not", starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, which was remade in 1950 as "The Breaking Point" starring John Garfield and Patricia Neal.
