An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Sugar Ray Robinson is a legendary boxer who also appeared in a few movies and TV shows from the 1950s to the 1970s, usually in a cameo appearance as himself. He was the World welterweight boxing champion from 1946 to 1951. He was the world middleweight boxing champion in 1951, then he lost it, regained it, and held it until 1952, and then lost it until 1955, when he regained it, and lost and regained it in 1957, and then lost it and held it again from 1958 until 1960. Some of the champions he knocked out included Rocky Graziano, Carl "BoBo" Olsen, Gene Fullmer, Randy Turpin, and Jake LaMotta. Many people consider him the best professional boxer of all time! He passed away in 1989 at the age of 67. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Sugar Ray Robinson! Note that this comes from a wonderful collection that was assembled by a collector decades ago, mostly from RR Auctions, which has auctioned signed items since 1976. The person who purchased these items passed away several years ago, and while he did not save most of the certificates of authenticity he received when he bought these signed items, almost all were purchased between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, and we think it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is genuine. In our last two auctions, we auctioned around 100 items from this same consignor, and we thought that was the very last of this wonderful collection, but our consignor discovered a few more items that had been missed, so we are auctioning those last ones in this set of auctions. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
