We have only previously auctioned a single still from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet, which has wonderful art of Marion Davies by famed magazine illustrator Harrison Fisher! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/2" x 41 1/4" [72 x 105 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a large area of paper loss in the upper right corner, starting just below the right end of the top fold, and extending up to the right of the hat to the top of the poster. Only solid colored background area was affected. The poster also had paper loss at the middle crossfold and small paper loss at the top crossfold, with a thin strip of paper loss in the vertical fold between them. It had a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well restored and displays well, but it shows some signs of the restoration when you look close up. If I owned this wonderful poster, I would likely have a talented restorer perform additional restoration, either with or without re-backing it. Learn More about condition grades
