An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Inside the Walls of Folsom Prison, the 1951 Crane Wilbur California maximum security prison jail convict crime melodrama ("1000 convicts as dangerous as dynamite - with a killer warden who lit the fuse!"; "The Wildest Crashout in prison history!"; "We'd rather catch a bullet goin' over the wall than be kept in this Black Hole!"; "For the First Time in its Hundred year history the camera goes 'Inside the walls of Folsom Prison'"; "A Story out of the Dark Past Behind the Model Prison that Folsom is Today!"; "They called it The Convicts' 'Black Dungeon'!"; "A Story out of the Dark Past Behind the Model Prison that Folsom is Today!") starring Steve Cochran, David Brian, Philip Carey, Ted de Corsia and Dorothy Hart "also NO. 07321 MURDER, NO. 08439 ARSON, NO. 04327 FORGERY, NO. 06752 KIDNAPPING". It is interesting to note that this movie talks about how awful Folsom Prison USED to be, and that it is a "model prison" in 1951 (when the movie was made), and yet it was apparently this movie that Johnny Cash saw and which inspired him to write "Folsom Prison Blues", which describes how awful the conditions are there (I guess your view of how good the prison is is greatly colored by whether you are an inmate or an observer!).
