Colla outer space science fiction (sci-fi) action thriller ("They were searching for a star called Earth, but first they had to win a great war."; "Before there was Earth, there was a great war."; "Two years in the making... Presented at a cost of $14,000,000"; "The super-reality of Sensurround takes you into an intergalactic war... Experience the sensation of laser beams, space explosions and battlestar attacks... all in Academy Award winning Sensurround.") starring Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Lorne Greene ("as Adama"), Herb Jefferson Jr., and Maren Jensen. Note that this movie was created from the 1978 "pilot" of the TV series of the same name. It was released in Canada two months before the TV show aired in the United States. The film was released theatrically in several other countries before also getting a limited U.S. theatrical release in late 1978 and a wider U.S. release 1979. Because this movie had a theatrical release, we have it separate from the Description for the TV show. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and four of the stills (less than four if the presskit has less than four stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN FOUR OF THEM (and we pretty much picked four stills at random). Condition: fine. Note that the vast majority of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are usually in really excellent condition. Sometimes the folder that contains the stills has some wear on it, and you should be able to see that in our super-sized image.
