Schoedsack Africa New York City giant ape fantasy romantic love triangle adventure horror thriller ("'The most awesome thriller of all time' the one and only"; "Not beast.. Not human.... Not devil.. Thrilling! Startling!"; "From an idea conceived by Edgar Wallace & Merian C. Cooper"; based on the story by Edgar Wallace, with incredible special effects by Willis O'Brien) starring Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong (as Carl Denham), Bruce Cabot, Frank Reicher, and Sam Hardy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this Mexican lobby card appears to be from the earliest Mexican release we have seen (you can't tell on this card, because it is trimmed, but RKO is listed at the bottom of the card, in the part that is trimmed off). All the other Mexican lobby cards we have seen don't have RKO, and we think that this card would possibly be from a 1938 re-release, when there was one in the U.S., or perhaps from a 1940s re-release. We don't believe it is from 1942, because we have seen a Mexican lobby card that appears to surely be from that re-release (and we have one of those cards in a separate auction). If anyone knows more about any of this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 11" x 15" [28 x 38 cm]. Condition: poor to fair. The card was trimmed, affecting the image and the writing. It was folded once in each direction and has many other defects (see our image). Please do not bid on this card unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
