Gil Blas was a French magazine from the 1890s and early 1990s. One of the best parts of the magazine is that famed artist Theophile Steinlen drew over 700 front and/or back covers for this magazine between 1891 and 1900. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this cover was removed from a magazine. There is printing on the reverse side of the page, and we may or may not have photographed it. This magazine cover has been matted to make a great inexpensive display!

Condition: very good. The cover was removed from a magazine. It has been matted, but you can partially lift the upper mat and see that the page likely had darkening and some defects around the edges, but we don't want to disassemble the mat in order to see, since it is so easily displayed either this way or after having a frame added to it.
