Taylor silent romantic musical ("A 3 Reel Version of Carmen"; based on the classic novel by Prosper Merimee) starring Marion Leonard (in the title role as Carmen), and Francis McDonald (as Don Jose). Note that this was the first American version of this classic opera (dozens would follow, some comedies). What is very interesting is that this is a completely silent movie, and yet it is a musical! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was folded across the middle and had some fine surface paper loss in the right of that fold. It had a 5" tear near the center of the top border and an irregular tear in the top of the "A" of "CARMEN" in the title. It had some small tears and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
