30 Jahre GST (literally translates to "30 years of GST"), the 1982 East German poster (with a tagline that translates to "For my country - the GDR") promoting the Gesellschaft fur Sport und Technik organization, and featuring Hans Rade art of several GST members in uniforms. The Gesellschaft fur Sport und Technik ("Sport and Technology Association") was an East German organization established in 1952 to structure the free time of young people interested in sports and technology in group activities, provide the required technical equipment, cultivate and support technical & sport disciplines, and arrange for events like motor and shooting competitions. The association also contributed to the militarization of East German society by organizing together with the National People's Army, the country's mandatory pre-military training in schools, universities and workplaces.
