A Set of 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Progressive Proof One-Sheet Movie Posters (1sh; measure 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer, the 1973 Don Taylor musical family adventure (based on the classic novel by Mark Twain; "Reader's Digest presents a Musical Adaptation of Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer") starring Johnny Whitaker (in the title role as Tom Sawyer), Celeste Holm (as Aunt Polly), Jeff East (as Huckleberry Finn), Warren Oates (as Muff Potter), and Jodie Foster (eleven years old, and in her third movie role, after a number of TV show appearances; as Becky Thatcher) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an INCREDIBLY RARE set of 8 progressive printer's proofs! Before a printer would print a poster, they would create separations for each of the colors in the poster (normally between 4 and 8 colors), and then they would print individual posters for each of the colors. Once those were approved, they would then run test posters with all the colors. Finally, when those test posters were approved, they would run the complete print job. You occasionally see individual printer's proofs for single colors, but it is incredibly rare to see all of the progressive proofs for a single job. Condition: good to very good. Each has pairs of staple holes, creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1/2" or less but some are larger) around the edges and each has darkened on the back at upper and lower center.
