An Original Vintage 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm] Postcard (Learn More) The Black Pirate, the 1926 Albert Parker silent seafaring swashbuckling sailor family relationship murder revenge adventure melodrama (about a young man whose father is killed by pirates, and he seeks revenge by joining the pirates so he can get close to his father's murderers) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr. (in the title role as The Black Pirate), Billie Dove, Tempe Pigott, Mary Pickford, Anders Randolf, Donald Crisp, and Sam De Grasse. Note that this was one of the first major productions in two-strip Technicolor! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this really cool postcard was given out at a theater that was showing this movie in 1926. It has an area on the back where people could write how great the movie was and then send it to any friend, trying to get them to see the movie as well.
