Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded South African Movie Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 40") (Learn More)

Harold and Maude, the classic 1971 Hal Ashby romantic May-December black comedy (about a depressed, death-obsessed 20-year-old man-child who spends his free time attending funerals and staging fake suicides in front of his mother, and meets a joyous 79 year old woman who helps him learn to enjoy life) starring Ruth Gordon (in the title role as Maude), Bud Cort (in the title role as Harold), Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Charles Tyner, Ellen Geer, and Eric Christmas. Note that this film features a memorable soundtrack by Cat Stevens!

Condition: good to very good. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had darkened on most of the foldlines. The person who restored the poster did an excellent job in making the color of the foldlines match that of the rest of the poster, and the poster now looks great. But when you look at the poster from an extreme angle with light bouncing off of it, you can see the paint restoration on the foldlines, and yet it disappears when you look straight at it. So I would think that just about any collector would be happy to display this poster (unless of course, they intend to view it from an extreme angle with light bouncing off of it!).
