An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded International Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) The Oscar, the 1966 Russell Rouse Los Angeles Hollywood California movie acting award melodrama ("This is the story of the dreamers and the schemers... The hustlers and the hopefuls... The free-loaders and the phonies... The fakers and the famous... All fighting for the highest possible award!"; "The breath-taking race for Hollywood's highest award!"; "Based on the novel by Richard Sale"; about cutthroat actors competing for a Best Actor Academy Award; a curious footnote is that the screenplay was co-written by famous science fiction [sci-fi] writer Harlan Ellison) starring Stephen Boyd, Elke Sommer, Milton Berle, Eleanor Parker, Joseph Cotten, Jill St. John, Tony Bennett (billed as "introducing Tony Bennett as Hymie Kelly"), Edie Adams and Ernest Borgnine NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Howard Terpning Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOREIGN" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Also note that this three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Finally, note this three-sheet poster was tri-folded only (which means there is one less vertical machine fold than usual). This means the poster has a significantly lesser number of folds than with three-sheets folded in the "regular" way, which is nice! Tri-folded three-sheets need to be sent in an oversized flat package, which measures roughly 13" x 30", so they cost more to send than regularly folded three-sheets, especially if they are sent to non-U.S. addresses. Condition: very good to fine. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded, but it has little effect on the front, and otherwise, the poster is in pretty good condition.
