Watercade Of 1950, the 1950 Noel Sherman live entertainment event starring Johnny Weissmuller (a former Olympic swimmer who is best-remembered as Tarzan and Jungle Jim in numerous films). The show featured aquatic skills as diving, tandem swimming and synchronized swimming. Note that this program book features art of Johnny Weissmuller surrounded by 6 mermaids. Note that Johnny Weissmuller had been the headliner at the New York World's Fair's "Billy Rose's Aquacade" in 1939 and 1940, but this was much more remarkable, since it was a full 26 years since he won his first Olympic medals, and he was still in good enough shape to headline this show (at the age of 46).
